From vision to brand

Our history is characterized by passion, innovation and the constant pursuit of perfection. What once began as an idea has developed into a leading interior design company. With a dedicated team, creative concepts and a clear focus on quality, we have continued to develop. Today, we stand for holistic interior solutions and support our customers from the initial idea to the final implementation - always with the aim of creating spaces that inspire.

2007

The foundation

In December 2007, Mr. Josef Reil laid the foundation stone for R² Bürodesign GmbH. Previously, he was head of the furniture department at the Roscher company in Weiden. With his long-time colleague Ms. Heidi Reil at his side, who took over planning in January 2008 and is still head of the office staff today, the journey of a successful company began.

2013

Growth through integration

On January 1, 2013, the furniture department of the Roscher company was taken over by R² Bürodesign GmbH. With this step, all customers and manufacturers were integrated. Ms. Doris Völkl, who had previously been an assistant manager at Roscher, joined the company and has been working in customer relationship management and acquisition ever since.

2020

Generation change

Mr. Josef Reil decided to take a well-deserved retirement in 2020 and sold the company. On January 1, 2020, Mr. Thomas Brockmann took over R² Bürodesign GmbH. He merged it with his brand Brockmann-Interior to form R² Bürodesign GmbH & Co. KG and expanded the portfolio of office furniture into a holistic

2022

Promotion of young talent

The first apprentice, Ms. Diana Pfannenstiel, was hired in September 2021. After completing her training, she remained with the company and is now responsible for customer planning and order processing.

2023

New management

Tim Bergemann, son of Thomas Brockmann, took over the company on May 1, 2023. Under his leadership, he continued his father’s ideas and further expanded the range. From floor design to lighting concepts, glass partitions and acoustic solutions through to complete furnishing, the company offers holistic furnishing solutions.

2024

Expansion of the team

With the steady growth, it became clear that support for the large catchment area needed to be expanded. Mr. Tim Schlesinger joined the sales team in May 2024. In addition, in September 2024, Ms. Michelle Wintholz as Specialist Customer Success to support Ms. Völkl in acquisition and order processing.

2025

Rebranding to Timbers

Rapid growth and changes in the industry made a repositioning necessary. The name “R² Bürodesign” was often perceived as “R2” or “R Zwei”, which made it difficult to recognize. In addition, the name suffix “Bürodesign” no longer adequately reflected the growing range of services. For years The company is not only active in the office sector, but also in surgeries, pharmacies, schools and kindergartens.

Vision for the future Timbers GmbH & Co. KG remains true to its philosophy: individual customer wishes are optimally implemented in all areas through in-house planning. As a competent partner for modern and sustainable furnishing solutions, the company is ideally equipped to master future challenges. The balancing act between an affordable, inexpensive style and extravagant furnishing class should always be present, so that there is something for everyone.
